The Purpose of Giving in the Church
1. To meet the needs of Kingdom citizens
2. To meet the needs of those who work in ministry
3. To meet the needs of the poor
In the early churches, everything that came in was distributed to the people in need. Therefore, when there is a need, let us let us try and meet the needs as Kingdom citizens. We should not just say we love without showing it. LOVE is an action word. As stated in Matthew 25:40, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
