We live in a world full of lies, and deceit comes from many sources. There are lying spirits who lead astray; there are evildoers and imposters looking for dupes and perhaps most insidious, we have ourselves to deal with. Self-deception is common in our fallen world.

To avoid self-deception, we must be like the one who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it – not forgetting what they have heard but doing it.
