The word ‘church’ is a word which has lost just about all its meaning in comparison to what it was originally in light of the early church.  The church is not a material building and it is never used in scriptures to refer to a material building. Satan is not fighting against a building, he is fighting against you and me.  Satan has no interest in the building, we are his target and that is why Paul said in Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
